From motion to a working system
A good-looking animation is one part of an interactive product. It also needs to respond correctly when content changes, a user interrupts a transition, or live data arrives. I connect motion design to that behavior: state machines, data binding, Luau scripts and the application that drives them.
I can build a new component system or help turn an existing Rive design into something your engineers can integrate. We establish the target runtime and supported features before choosing the implementation.
What the engagement can include
- Interactive interface elements, animated controls and responsive component layouts.
- Luau scripting for procedural graphics, data-driven behavior and reusable animation logic.
- Live display systems: scores, countdowns, leaderboards, timed messages and operator controls.
- A documented contract for inputs, events and data, with a working integration example for the agreed platform.
- Testing across representative data, screen sizes and interaction states before handoff.
Work you can inspect
For TiledMedia, I built a racing interface whose track map, leaderboard, speedometer and driver cards are configured by the client’s application. The handoff included documented components, standalone demos and an Xcode integration project.
The NBA All-Star court experience and AT&T Live Arena show the same design-and-development approach at a different scale: interactive systems that run on live event surfaces.
How we start
Bring the design or prototype, your target platform, the data it needs to receive and the behavior you want people to experience. I’ll help define a small working slice first, then the components, integration work and validation needed to complete it.
The scope determines the estimate. A single animated control and a telemetry-driven display system need different amounts of design, engineering and testing.
